Hello Thursday!

I really need to use my Cricut machine more.  So I thought I would follow Cricut's example and post on Thursdays a project I created with my machine.  I used the Art Nouveau cartridge.  This image is Rose 2.  The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin (Stampin' Up) kit and the paper is by Recollections (Michael's brand).  Thanks for looking!

Wednesday's Wow!

I thought it would be nice to post on my Anything But a Card projects.  This is an altered cigar box.  As fantastic as SU DSP is, I'm still hooked on Graphic 45.  This is from their Steampunk Spells line.  The sides of the box were covered with K and Co. Halloween paper.  I used Tim Holtz box feet and some items from his Ideaology line.  Thanks for looking!

Tuesday's Technique

Today's card was inspired by The Stamper's Sampler Take Ten June/July/August 2013 issue.  On page 67, a technique, "Perfectly Painted," is discussed.  I thought it was an interesting way to add a little dimension without adding bulk.  I used a fuschia acrylic craft paint and I believe the sentiment is by Heidi Swapp.  The paper is scrap that I had.  Thanks for looking!

Sundays with Stampin' Up

I decided to return to the blogging world.  Hopefully, I'm here to stay.

I thought I would start by promoting Stampin' Up.  I did start my card making hobby when I attended my friend, Carol's Stampin' Up workshop.  I had so much fun.  Ten years later I've decided to become a demonstrator for this wonderful company.  Today's project:

Paper:  Coastal Cabana and Whisper White card stock,  Winter Frost DSP
Ink:  Basic Gray
Stamps:  Petite Pairs, Christmas Collectibles
Misc: Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Christmas Ornament Punch

My "love" for Barb . . . and apologies

On the 5th of every month, the blogging group I'm in (if they don't kick me out) celebrates and honors one of its members.  For the month of April it is Barb.  Please check out her beautiful blog and creations, here.

This is my card to honor Barb.  She has a real knack for choosing beautiful, bright, happy colors.  I love the layouts she uses for her creations.  They are simply gorgeous!!

This was the source for my inspiration:
Good Luck Turtle from her March 12th post.  As you can see my personal spin, a fairy.  I do love creatures of fantasy.

You can also see, I'm 2 days late (and many $$ short).  I'm so sorry for my tardiness.  Life has truly gotten away from me.  Hopefully with the arrival of spring and longer days I will be better.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for looking!!

My "love" for Carolina

This month the Crafty Gals Blog Group is celebrating Carolina.  She has a very bright and cheerful style and often sews on her beautiful cards (I love that!).   Checkout her wonderful creations, here.   I couldn't unearth my sewing machine (or the table where I work to put the sewing machine upon) so I stamped the stitches (with an A*muse Studio boarder stamp).  The paper was from my "scrap" pile and the image came from a friend.   The image is colored with watercolor pencils.  The bling and flowers are also from my stash.

Here is my inspiration from Carolina (here):
Also in true Carolina Style, I rotated her layout and made my card horizontal instead of vertical.  Thanks for looking!!
