TANGLED UP IN CREATIVITY CHALLENGE # 10

Yes, it's a Christmas in July challenge!
My husband thinks "Christmas in July" is the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard.  I like it because I'm a teacher and the Holiday Season (as much as I love it) is the most chaotic time of the year.  The children are SUPER EXCITED, there are endless Christmas Program practices, preparation for guests to visit, the parties, and I haven't even mentioned the shopping!  So, on July 25 I make myself a cup of hot chocolate (yes, as hot as it gets here) and watch QVC all day long!  As I'm watching TV, planning all the wonderful things I want to do this year (more like wishful thinking).

Since it is JULY, it may be hard for some of us to get into the spirit.  Therefore the challenge to make a Christmas card (project) WITHOUT using the traditional reds and greens.  For example Lime Green is okay. but not Forest Green.  The card above was the first one I made, it still looks like a traditional Christmas card.  I thought I better challenge myself a little more (I am hosting) so here's what else I came up with:

If you choose to accept this challenge, I have a nice prize all ready to go (only members of Tangled up in Creativity Blog Group are eligible for the prize).  You'll have until Sunday, July 25.  Have fun!  Hopefully I can get Mr. Linky to work:

  5. Great idea Monica. This is certainly a challenge as I tend more towards the traditional colours for Christmas. Thanks for setting this up for us.
