Dani's TUIC Challenge

The first challenge for the Tangled Up In Creativity Blog Group (TUIC) is hosted by Dani May (D-Dazzled Designs).  She posses one of the most caring hearts.  This year she has dedicated a lot of her time to different charities, and has even created a challenge blog devoted to charities, A Cause for Cards.  Please visit and join us in helping her with her selfless work.

Back to the challenge, in honor of Australia Day we had to:
a) incorporate the Colours Green and Yellow into your card
b)  make a card only utilising Cardstock - no papers, no ribbon, no bling etc
(only stamping and more cardstock, you can of course emboss, distress and cut cardstock)

You cannot imagine how hard this was for me.  I put bling on everything if it sits still long enough (hubby gets worried when he comes home and rhinestones are stuck to the boys).  Thanks for looking.

Here's a close-up of the image
Paper:  Bazzill Cardstock
Image:  Raisin Boat Stamps (Baby Face Set)
Ink:  Palette Ink (Haystack, Black) Memento (London Fog), Copic Marker for face
Misc:  Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder
*I wrote this blog post while participating on the Glue Dots design team.

  3. Hi Monica,

I love this sweet image. I wish I had it! It could be used around Christmas, new arrivals, birthdays...Mother's Day, Father's Day! Adorable! This would have been a difficult challenge for me, too! Only use cardstock? No pearls? Wow! Your card looks wonderful, however. And, you showed great restraint! Way to Go!

I wanted to make sure you knew that one of the cards you made and donated to the He IS Able blog is the "Card of the Week." It will go to one randomly drawn person who leaves a comment before Tuesday 8pm. Thank you so much for this generous use of your talents. It is a wonderful card, and very nicely made. You are really appreciated. God Bless!

    He IS Able,
    Traci S.
