Jenn (Jax Bean Stalks) is hosting a recycle challenge on her blog. Turn something you would normally throw away, or in this case put in the recycling bin, into something new.  I used this Coke can to make an element on this card:
If you follow my {ippity}blog, you'd recognize this card.  It was one of my first projects made with {ippity} stamps.  I'm still very proud of this project.  Here's a close-up:
Since I had made this card in the past, I made another project.
I don't know how it is for you, but at work (I'm a teacher) I've earned the reputation of being creative.  The art teacher (who is an artist, not a crafter) was going to throw out this box.  She asked me first if I thought I could use it for something.
I have not idea what came in it, but it turned into a desktop calendar.
Here's the top (outside):
Here is the inside:
Thanks for looking!

  2. Both are wonderful. So clever. Love what you did with that box. I had a box similar to that the other day (one I had been saving) and just could not, for the life of me, think what to do with it! Duh! Wish I hadn't thrown it out now!!

  4. What great ideas. I saw tutorial on using a can but never tried it for fear of slicing all my fingers. Great job.
